UNF Foundation Competitive Merit-Based Scholarships in USA, 2016

UNF Foundation is inviting applications for UNF Foundation competitive merit-based scholarships. Incoming students can apply for one of our competitive merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are only available to first-time-in-college or transfer students beginning in the Fall terms. The application deadline is January 1, 2016.

Eligibility: A few things to keep in mind:
-Scholarships are only available to first-time-in-college or transfer students beginning in the Fall terms.
-Current students are not eligible to receive these scholarships.
-Students are only eligible to receive one UNF merit-based scholarship. However, students who have already received an automatic scholarship (like the Presidential Award) can submit documents to be considered for a possible scholarship upgrade.
-Scholarship offers will be e-mailed to the student’s UNF e-mail account.

Ann C. Hicks Scholarship: Minimum 3.5 recalculated GPA
-Minimum 1200 SAT or 26 ACT (excluding writing sections).
Coggin Merit Scholarship: Minimum 3.5 recalculated GPA
-Minimum 1200 SAT or 26 ACT (excluding writing sections)
-Major must be in the Coggin College of Business
DuBow Scholarship: Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA
-Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections)
Gray Scholarship: Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA
-Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections)
-Must major in College of Arts & Sciences
-Katherine Lovett Scholarship: Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA and Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections)
-Presidential Endowed Scholarship : Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA, Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections) and National Merit or National Achievement Semi-Finalist or Commended Scholar
-Terry University Scholarship: Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA, Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections) and Must be eligible for Florida Bright Futures
-Anne H. Hopkins University Scholarship: Minimum 3.6 recalculated GPA and Minimum 1300 SAT or 28 ACT (excluding writing sections)
Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of USA can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: Incoming students can apply for one of our competitive merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are only available to first-time-in-college or transfer students beginning in the Fall terms. The scholarship qualifications listed below reflect anticipated standards and award values for the 2016 incoming class. Minimum qualifications and award amounts are subject to change.

Ann C. Hicks Scholarship: $16,000 ($4,000/year x 4 years)
Coggin Merit Scholarship: $16,000 ($4,000/year x 4 years)
DuBow Scholarship: $20,000 ($5,000/year x 4 years)
Gray Scholarship: $16,000 ($4,000/year x 4 years)
Katherine Lovett Scholarship: $12,000 ($3,000/year x 4 years)
Presidential Endowed Scholarship: $20,000 ($5,000/year x 4 years)
Terry University Scholarship: $16,000 ($4,000/year x 4 years)
Anne H. Hopkins University Scholarship: $10,000 ($2,500/year x 4 years)
Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on competitive merit-based.

How to Apply: All documents must be submitted as e-mail attachments to pathways-at-unf.edu. Your application will only be considered after these items have been received. Applicants must:
-Provide a resume
-Provide one letter of recommendation (from a teacher, employer, counselor, etc.)
-Submit a personal statement – a one-page narrative designed to give the reviewers a picture of you as an individual. The statement should address three items:
